GREEN SPRINGS

A Pleasant Ambience for the Mind and Body
The concept of GREEN SPRINGS is to unite the sky, earth, and people.
To be a "Well-being town".

The Site Area is Approximately 39,000 Square Meters
On the site, there are facilities such as restaurants, an art gallery, a hotel, and a multifunctional hall. At the center, surrounded by each building, there is a central square of approximately 10,000 square meters, creating a pleasant space with planting and water features.

"TACHIKAWA STATION" is Approximately a 25-minute Train Ride from Shinjuku Station
The multipurpose facility "GREEN SPRINGS" located in Tachikawa City on the suburbs of Tokyo, is approximately an 8-minute walk from the north exit of Tachikawa Station. Adjacent to the "National Showa Kinen Park," it is situated in a lush green environment facing the greenway along the Tama Monorail line.
The Comfort that can be felt through Visual and Acoustic Sense
The expansive green space on the second floor is maintained thoroughly, with over 350 different plant species planted throughout the year. Additionally, as one of the ideas to ensure visitors have a pleasant experience, speakers are discreetly placed among the plants to play ambient music.
It is a delightful experience for the ears; calming, ambient music playing throughout the space. With this added element, along with all the greenery, you can feel a sense of calm even amidst the crowd of visitors. It is a very modern and stylish approach to a multipurpose private facility.

Biotope
The ecosystem of animals and plants inhabiting the Tama River basin is recreated, with five species including medaka (Japanese rice fish), dojo (Japanese loach), ginbuna (Japanese silver crucian carp), kawamutsu (Japanese dark chub), and numaebi (Japanese freshwater shrimp) inhabiting the area.
Open-Air Terrace Seats
The open-air café "GOOD SOUND COFFEE," located at the center of the plaza, has a concept as a café where visitors can enjoy high-quality "sounds." Nestled amidst the greenery, this stylish café offers soothing music that blends seamlessly with the surroundings, allowing people to indulge in aromatic organic coffee and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere.
The coffee is great especially for medium roast coffee lovers!

A Healthy Lifestyle for both Mind and Body
There are many outdoor resting spaces in GREEN SPRINGS.
In this open-air environment, people can take their time and enjoy their coffee, to read books, sunbathing and picnics.
Mats can be rented free of charge at the information desk.
The seamless integration of nature and modern architecture is truly stunning, and the beauty of their harmony is awe-inspiring. In this place, you can find yourself surrounded by an environment that feels far removed from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. There is a need for more places in Tokyo where one can relax outdoors while being close to nature.

The "Cascade", a 120-meter Staircase of Flowing Water
It is very popular among families because children can play with water by dipping their feet in the stairs. The design of the staircase is inspired by the airport runway, as there used to be an airfield here.

A Recommended Spot for Photography with the Tama City Monorail
You can feel the sense of openness by looking down from the top of the stairs.

Maybe You Can See Mt. Fuji?
From the observation deck at the top of the Cascade, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the cityscape of Tachikawa. On clear days, you can also see Mount Fuji while spending a leisurely time on the staircase-like deck.
Once you get to the top and follow the path towards the observation deck, tranquil music can be heard all the way to the deck. After spending some time just sitting there, you feel a sense of blissfulness thanks to the open view. In the evening, people gather to enjoy the sunset, providing another way of enjoyment.

Public Art
The public art that reflects “Future”, “Environment” and “Memory” is made by the theme of WELL-BEING and will guide your encounter with GREEN SPRINGS.
LIVING ROOM
The "Living Room" at GREEN SPRINGS is a versatile space where you can work, take breaks, and relax freely. It offers Wi-Fi access and is equipped with sofas and restrooms for your convenience.

EventS
On weekends, regular market events are held, and on this day, it was a pottery market. There were Arita pottery established 130 years ago, as well as lacquerware from a lacquer craft shop in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, which has been in operation for over 200 years. It is a great opportunity to experience Japan's traditional culture.
The products available at the market perfectly reflect the atmosphere of GREEN SPRINGS. Centered around natural materials, creativity, and functionality. The prices are reasonable too, considering the products are all handmade by artisans.

The Night View
At night, the scenery at GREEN SPRINGS transforms into a sophisticated atmosphere, quite different from the daytime. Various spots illuminated by lights in three different colors from three directions, a fountain with changing light colors, and the Cascade lighting up in blue create an ambiance enjoyable for people of all ages. Please come visit to take a stroll and experience it for yourself.

Comment from the reporter!
I recommend the observation deck because of the calming music and view. It can be tiring to be in such big crowds so going to that area is a nice place to take a break from all the activity in the area.
